From Tokyo with Style

Last week it was Prada, this week it is Armani. The cell phone industry is certainly keeping up with the fashion game! Samsung partnered up with Emporio Armani (modeled by the lovely Megan Fox),  resulting in the (almost) lovelier M7500.  With its brightly colored LED lights on its sides and the Emporio Armani logo on its back, your choice of style will be detected from a distance. a night out.  Rumor has it that signature illuminating LED around the edge was inspired by Giorgio Armani's trips to Tokyo (wouldn’t you fall in love with this well-list night life?), where he recently opened a ten-story concept store, the Armani/Ginza tower (middle left picture below), Personally, I think the phone is much more stylish than the concept store, but I might change my mind if I get to visit Tokyo for it.

Wherever you go, you know you’ll want to keep in touch with your friends, and the M7500 is feature loaded and perfect for the job. But before you even get to what it does, let’s just mention how it feels... The sleek body of the Samsung Armani Night Effect is designed to provide for a soft-to-the-touch, rubber-like feel and the hair-lined keypad is perfect the touch. Top it off with the reinforced glass display, and the simple-yet-sturdy elegance is complete. The large 2.2 inch QVGA AMOLED screen maximizes your visual experience with an unmatched range of hues and rich colors, providing for an exceptionally vivid view.  Use it best by snapping and sharing photos  and video (from Tokyo?) with the embedded 3 megapixel camera. The M7500 really is as enjoyable to use as it is stylish.

Of course the Emporio Armani just has to be the center of the party, so it’s furnished with a hidden external speaker letting you show off audio user interface including a selection of special Emporio Armani compositions as ringtones.

Actually, this phone has been created specifically for easy management and use of music files. The Samsung M7500 Emporio Armani Night Effect mobile clearly is full of music-centric features and has a user-friendly music-control key, along with the pleasure of music in all popular formats plus FM radio. In short, you have your own club at the palm of your hand, music and light effects combined... with the blessing of Emporio Armani, everyone will want to be joining your ad hoc clubbing experience!

Can’t go wrong with Prada, Can you?

It really no wonder that the Devil wears Prada.  And I’ll bet ya that if the LG KE850 Prada would have been out at the time, either Meryl Streep or ann Hathaway would have gotten one, too! Not only does the Prada phone carry one of the most recognizable high end Italian brands, but this phone is very stylish in its own right, its sophisticated design is sure to turn heads.  I love the huge 3 inch touch screen and stylish, almost buttonless, design.  Basically the Prada phone surpasses even the high standard of Fashion that LG has climbed to with the Shine and Chocolate.

Simply put, the LG Prada is the epitome of elegance and style, just like Jessica Alba (wearing Prada at the UK premiere of Valentine's Day earlier this year). It is the very definition of a fashion phone, and is quite possibly one of the most attractive handsets we've ever seen. Decked out in a lightweight piano-black shell, the Prada has a minimalist design, with smooth rounded corners and a touch of silver adorning its sides. It looks like a miniature version of a fancy plasma TV or a piece of high-class contemporary art.  The phone is also marvelously compact at 2.13 inches wide by 3.89 inches tall by 0.47 inch deep and weighing in at a scant 3 ounces. Because it's so slim and lightweight, you will have no problem slipping it into a pants pocket or a small clutch purse for a night out on the town.
The Large touchscreen interface was made with fingers in mind.  You can easily rearrange your homescreen and even choose a theme for your phone, my favorite is the one with the moving fish on the homescreen that you can direct with your finger, its like having your own Nemo, right on your home screen.

The user interface is easy to use and the graphics make using this phone a stylish experience. The screen is also great for viewing movies or photos taken with the embedded camera.  Although the camera won’t help you win Artist Of The Year,  the LG KE850 lets you record yourself in MP3 format which you can use as a ringtone.  That way you can practice before you meet Simon Cowell.   You can also set the alarm to wake you up to your favorite tunes, so that you wake up ready for him. All that remains is to find out at which Prada fashion show he’ll show up next! And don’t forget to show off your own little piece of Prada.
Buy the LG PRADA for only $157.30

The following excerpt is from PC Magazine:
"[The LG PRADA] looks like Apple's upcoming iPhone and has a lot of the same features, but it'll appeal primarily to the very well-heeled—which is just the way Prada wants it. It doesn't match up to the iPhone's expected PC-syncing capabilities, but it's still an elegant, unusual, and powerful handheld."

Nokia N97 - You, a TV Star, starting TODAY

Remember the Truman Show featuring Jim Carey in a live broadcast TV creation 24/7? From this day forth, you can be the star of your own 24/7 TV broadcasting. It’s called lifecasting, for those of you who haven’t yet heard of it. And it’s available on a seriously fashionble phone by Nokia: the N97 and its even more stylish version, the N97 mini.

With lifecasting, you keep your friends nearby even when they’re miles away (or actually, they keep you nearby when you’re miles away, even better, don’t you think?). With the N97 and N97 mini you can lifecast the street address you are at, and your friends can see your location on a map. Go to your favorite place and while you’re at it,  share some of the nearby fabulous locations you saved on Ovi Maps. It’s like taking Geo-tagging to the next level. Check out the above video, if you’re not yet hooked yet. Now, be honest, isn’t it the best thing since sliced bread? Or at least since cell phones became a girl’s best friend?

And how about having the smallest world travel companion on earth? The N97 has everything you need to pack and go. Well, except your passport. Oh, and maybe those hot pink Jimmy Choo shoes. This phone has been specifically designed to help you navigate people and places. In addition to global pedestrian navigation, the n97 (mini or not) lets you access premium content from Lonely Planet, Michelin, and Wcities meaning that you’ve literally got the world in your palm And with the new Ovi Maps experience searching, finding, and navigating just couldn’t get any easier. Unless it read your mind (well, there’s something to aspire to, don’t you think?).

So what else is in store for ye Fashionable travelers? The full slideout QWERTY keyboard makes the N97 and N97 mini capable of handling just about everything.  And the homescreen is fully customizable so each Nokia N97 is as unique as your fingerprint. Not to mention the thousands of different applications and services you can download from the Ovi Store.  From games, videos and podcasts to productivity tools and web services, the Ovi Store is the easiest way to fill the N97’s homescreen with applications that reflect your individual tastes.

Smarts and practicality aside, for a phone to be on my blog, it’s gotta have the looks, too. With its stylish stainless steel cues and its very simplistic, almost buttonless, look - it certainly passes my test. And no need to sacrifice screen size for mini-size style as the N97 mini boasts a 3.2 inch (vs. 3.5 inch of the regular size) touchscreen display.  And to the real gem... The N97 mini’s special color, the Garnet is a truly magnificent color (not your usual black and white otherwise available for the N97 phones), taking after the garnet gemstone, which has not only been traded and used in Jewelery for centuries but is also the January birthstone (so if you’re a January born Fashion lover, you really HAVE to have this phone.

Well, even though it’s not January and I don’t own any garnet jewelry, I will bid you adieu for this week with Truman’s (Jim Carey) words, “Good morning, and in case I don't see ya, good afternoon, good evening, and good night”!

Enjoy your new Nokia N97 (mini garnet, of course)!

Diamonds are forever, so why not your phone?

There is nothing a girl loves more than the feeling of dependability, hmmm … maybe diamonds, but dependability is a close second.  That is why I love the Nokia 8600 Luna.  Not only does the Luna have killer looks and a beautiful design but the steel-hit-steel sound when it’s snapped closed and the feel of actual metal give you that sense of security.  No need to worry about replacing your phone because of an unfortunate slip of .... errr ... a clumsy hand (not yours, of course!)

The Nokia 8600 Luna is built for elegance and is keen to disarm and seduce. With its completely black body, the two silver lines, and the remarkable slider construction, this phone is a real head-turner.  Sliding the 8600 Luna open is smooth and sweet. The high quality construction and materials as well as the seamless sliding mechanism are designed for heavy duty usage. The handset feels solid and firm in both opened and closed positions, and the steel makes itself noticed every time you snap the phone closed.

Just picture the iconically classic Audrey Hepburn running those long black gloves over the Nokia Luna. Now there’s an irresistible TV ad sure to get the attention of millions of fashion lovers (and all the boys, too)!

To keep up with its super-sleek super-elegant streamlined exterior, the Luna gives you a single micro-USB port for charging and connecting to your PC. You’ll love the Luna on the inside, too. Literally everything is configurable: the soft buttons, the joystick positions, shortcuts to nearly any application can be presented on-screen, even the menu font color is controllable (and did we mention Pink today?). And, of course, you can bind your own custom Pink ringtone to every contact in your phonebook.

While the camera and internet connectivity aren’t the Luna’s strongest points, it’s a real time saver in texting your friends. A special contact book is used for messaging, so all the recent contacts are displayed on a special list freeing you from the hassle of looking them in the phonebook and even a whole contact group can be chosen as recipient of a message. You gotta admit that’s pinkly smart. To sum it up, the unconventional materials used, the creative design, and the rather practical set of features makes the Nokia 8600 Luna impossible to resist.

Introducing the N79: The one size fit all outfits (and moods) phone

Wasn't it Cindy Lauper who said that Girls Just Want to Have Fun?  That's gotta be the reason why Nokia invented the N79.  Out with the days of phone boredom, and in with the days of phone instant color change!  With the N79, all it takes is a simple snap to change the color of your phone's casing and matching on-screen profile.  I mean, let's face it, who wouldn't want their phone to match their purse and shoes??

Here's how it works. When you snap on one of the Xpress-on smart covers (and by the way, they have some really cool colors), your N79 will automatically change its display profile to match the color of the cover. That way everything is coordinated.  Just don't forget to make sure that your shoes match, too!

Not only does it let you look good, The N79 is all equipped to make you show the world how good you look!  It's got not one, but two cameras.  The main camera is a high-resolution, 5 megapixel camera on the back which means that you can throw away your old camera and take some high quality shots of yourself to send to friends.  This is really helpful if you're in the changing room and just can't make up your mind if you should go with the Pink or the purple (as if there really is a question when it comes to Pink...).  Although the videocall front camera has lower resolution, it's still good enough to have some face to face fashion exchange, as long as your network supports it.  And when you finally made up your mind, don't forget to capture your choice on a DVD-like quality video featuring again the main camera to show the world you're a star.

With the integrated A-GPS, you can later "geotag" your pictures so your friends know exactly where you've been shopping and other cool things you’ve done.   Just try and not make them too jealous, cause you already have the N79.

The N79 is also a great shopping companion. With the N79 you can listen 24 hours of Colbie Caillat or whoever else you might like and download music, video, and talking ringtones.   Not to mention that the Wi-Fi lets you keep up with Facebook (don't forget to friend me :-)

A girl's gotta have her options, and the N79 lets her have them. This is a great phone for the ultimately fashionable girl who wants her music, pictures, and social networking to come with style. And with the current sale on pidigo.com (till October 17, 2010), it's just irresistible! Check it out here!

The Renaissance of Pink Phones

HI! My name is Pinky Tinky, and I don’t know about you, but I absolutely love Pink Phones.  That is why I am starting a blog all about the most important thing in the world, no not global warming, Pretty Pink and fashion friendly Phones of course! In the last few years we have seen a renaissance of Pink Phones, not to mention an unprecedented number of phones actually designed for those of us without a Y chromosome.  I will discuss a new fashion friendly phone every week.  I will talk about the fashion fails, as well as the ones we can’t live without.  And I won’t just be talking about looks; I am going to also talk about what our mothers told us really matters, what’s inside.

Today I am going to start with the Sony T707.  The T707 is one of my favorite phones, not only because it has stunning looks, but because it offers what Sony Ericsson is known for, amazing music-centric and multimedia features. The T707 is particularly good-looking, making it the perfect accessory to any outfit.  The Spring Rose, of course, is my favorite, but it looks just as beautiful in blue and black (what’s up with the name, though? couldn’t they be more creative?) While the T707 is all about style it still comes with plenty of features you won't want to live without (ask Tom the Geek, I’m sure he’ll agree!). Unique pulsating notification lights notify me of my missed calls and text messages. Customizable light options let me even assign individual colors to contacts, I choose purple (no, not pink) for my bestfriend and blue for my boyfriend since those are their favorite colors. I love being able to see whose calling with a glance.  I also love the smooth sleek high gloss finish on the front of the T707 that hides the display.

And here’s a bit of a futuristic feature... Remember how Tom Cruise (as Chief John Anderton) in Minority Report stands in front of this transparent screen waving talking to the computer and his hands to move stuff around? Well, the T707 isn’t quite there yet, but it’s coming along... with a wave of your hand it automatically snoozes the alarm or silences the ring. You gotta admit this really is the one feature you just won't want to live without! They’re calling this feature “Gesture Controls” (Sony’s naming team, are you listening? You really HAVE to get more Pink!). Well, while I really can’t say I love the name of the feature, I certainly love what it does (and so will you!).

Down to earth again, of course you simply have to have a camera in your phone nowadays. If you love your camera more than you love Pink (errr... how could you?), you’ll have to wait for another phone review. But the 3.2 megapixel camera takes good pictures and is social, to. It will let you upload your images to your favorite social networking sites using the built in web browser. So if you’re anywhere nearly as addicted to Facebook as I am, this is one you won’t want to miss. You can even use those (or any other) images as your wallpaper and create matching themes.  And what’s really smart about it is that you get to have not one theme going on, but two, swapping automatically between night and day. Not too shabby if you ask me.

As far as entertainment goes, the T707 has enough to keep even me from getting bored, with features like an FM radio, video player, web browser and MP3 player to start out with.  The MP3 player comes with Track ID, PlayNow, mega base, and album art to give you the best possible mobile music experience. So, okay, it might not be the Walkman (we’ll talk about some of those another time), but hey, when Pink is your priority, this comes close enough! The Sony T707 is one Pink accessory you won't want to leave home without.
